At the entrance to the Szalajka Valley, after paying the entrance fee, you can drive up the Tótfalusi Valley to the car park at the Italian Gate. The asphalt road with its narrow but very nice lines offers great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, even the High Tatras. The 860 m asl. starting from a high-altitude car park, we can take even longer hikes and walks in all directions on the Bükk Plateau. The most beautiful routes can touch the already mentioned Cabbage Garden, Tarkő (Italian Gate Study Trail), the Ancient Forest, the Körös-Bérci Cave, the Három Rock or the Jewish Meadow, the Great Field, the Mélysár, the Hármas-kuta, the Huta-meadow and many other wonderful places. On the following route we reach a short walk to Három Rock, from where an unparalleled panorama opens to the southern part of Bükk, in case of clear weather you can also see Tokaj Hill and Lake Tisza.

Attention! Be sure to bring drinking water with you on the hike, because there are few springs on the Bükk Plateau! There is no water intake on this route.
