The favorite and most wonderful place of the Szalajka Valley is the Veil Waterfall, which is not only one of the most beautiful natural sights of the valley, but also of Hungary, and it represents an exceptionally high conservation value.

The system of dams and tetarates created by the limestone precipitation (limestone tuff or spring limestone, in the technical term travertine) characteristic of streams originating from karst springs of the Veil Waterfall consists of 17 stages. The plateau behind the dam system, the Gloriett Clearance, is the product of hundreds of thousands of years of limestone deposition.
